Melrose resident wins “$25,000 a Year for Life” prize

April 26, 2019 Alexander Wilson of Melrose is the winner of a $25,000 a year for life prize in the Lucky for Life game after the first five numbers on his ticket matched those selected in the drawing that took place Thursday, April 4.. Wilson chose the annuity option on his prize and received his first annual payment of $25,000 (less tax withholdings). He plans on using some of his winnings to fund his entries into the many ironman races in which he participates. He purchased his winning Quic Pic ticket at Garniss Market, 165 W. Emerson St. in Melrose. The store will receive a $5,000 bonus for its sale. Lucky for Life tickets are $2 each. Drawings are held every Monday and Thursday at 10:38 p.m. ET.
