First Time’s the Charm for This Quick Pick Winner

Lucky for Life Winner Deborah “Debbie” Henson

It only took one Lucky for Life ticket to make Deborah “Debbie” Henson a $5,000 Missouri Lottery winner. The Ballwin resident purchased her first Lucky for Life ticket on Feb. 9 from Schnucks Market, 2511 Kehrs Mill Road, in Chesterfield. Henson used Quick Pick to correctly match four of the balls drawn and the Lucky Ball to win her prize. The numbers drawn for the Feb. 12 drawing were:  4, 6, 32, 42 and 46 with a Lucky Ball number of 2.

Henson and her husband, Stephen, did not realize that they had won their $5,000 prize until a week later when checking other Lottery tickets.

“We had a stack of tickets to check. My husband went inside a gas station to have them all scanned. When he came back to the car, he was smiling ear-to-ear,” recalled the enthused mother-of-two.

The couple wasted little to no time rushing to the Missouri Lottery’s regional office in St. Louis to claim their prize. While claiming, Henson said that she purchased the ticket after buying groceries at the retail location.

“We like to play the Draw Games and most Scratchers. I like the idea of Lucky for Life because of its prize structure.”

The couple had yet to make any definitive plans for their money, but discussed the possibility of investing in a motorcycle.

“This was my first time playing the game. I’ll definitely have to buy some more Lucky for Life tickets,” concluded Henson.
