John Ginther of East Helena came to Montana Lottery headquarters today to claim his $5,000 Lucky for Life ticket. John purchased his winning ticket at the VFW Post 10010 in East Helena and stated that “he couldn’t be happier about his win.” John really enjoys playing our newest game, Lucky for Life and states that “he does not have any definite plans yet for his winnings.”
Eleanor Miller of the Cataumet section of Bourne, MA is the winner of a $25,000 a year for life prize in the recently expanded multi-state “Lucky for Life” game after her combination of anniversary dates (07-11-18-19-28) correctly matched the first five numbers selected in the drawing that took place Monday, February 2.
The February 2 drawing was the second “Lucky for Life” drawing held after the game expanded outside of the six New England states on January 27. “Lucky for Life” also gives players the opportunity to win $1,000 a day, every day, for the rest of their lives, if they correctly match the first five numbers, as well as the Lucky Ball number.
At a cost of $2 per play, Miller chose to play two different number combinations for two drawings each for a total of $8 in order to be entered into a promotional second chance drawing for a chance to win $2,015. The Mass. Lottery’s promotion coincided with the launch of the “Lucky for Life” game’s new design that features enhanced odds of winning and larger lower-tier prizes.
Miller opted to claim her prize in the form of a one-time cash payment of $390,000 (less taxes). She is still in the process of determining her plans for her winnings.
